Your AC may be blowing warm air because the outdoor unit is not running, the system is low on refrigerant, the coil is frozen, the filter is dirty, the condenser coil is dirty, the compressor is not operating, or the thermostat is not calling correctly. The first thing to check is whether the thermostat is set to cool and whether the outdoor unit is actually running. If the outdoor unit is off while the indoor fan is blowing, the air from the vents will not be cooled.

Warm air can also come from a failed capacitor, dirty filter, frozen coil, bad compressor, dirty outdoor coil, thermostat issue, or airflow problem. Refrigerant should not disappear in a sealed system, so if the system is low, there may be a leak.
